Parents view homework for each child with one click, control access to safe chatrooms and receive eReminders (assignments by email). How do students benefit from a Premium subscription?

Your students can do quick checks on what's due tomorrow, participate in online chatrooms, and receive assignments automatically by email. The additional facilities keep students interested in looking up their online assignments and doing their best!

How do parents and students customize their assignment access?

Students and their parents can select from their yourhomework.com courses to create a custom course list. Assignments that are due both today and tomorrow are then displayed for each course in the list. A link is also provided to the full homework listing for each course should you need to see past or future assignments. Courses can be added and deleted at any time.

What are eReminders?

eReminders are assignments by email. Teachers don't have to do anything extra, it's automatic for Premium subscribers! Parents and students receive eReminders from the teachers in their course list. eReminders include both the assignment and a link to the full assignment listing for that course.

Who can receive eReminders?

Both students and parents can receive eReminders. Parents can also include up to three other parents, guardians, grandparents, babysitters, or caregivers in the eReminder list. The three other parents/guardians receive eReminders as often as the main parent has requested.

When can students and parents receive eReminders?

Both parents and students control how often they receive eReminders for each course in your list. eReminders can be received instantly every time a teacher enters or modifies and assignment. Daily or weekly eReminders can also be received until the assignment is due. Daily eReminders are sent out every morning at 2 a.m. PST, while weekly eReminders are sent out on Sundays at 3 a.m. PST.

What if I don't receive my eReminders?

First, check that all the email addresses for yourself and your child(ren) are correct and all the relevant eReminder boxes (daily, weekly, etc.). Also make sure you have the correct courses selected. Finally, if your provider filters junk mail and identifies yourhomework.com homework notices as spam, it may be going to a junk mail folder. Check your junk email settings, and mark yourhomework.com emails accordingly. Please contact us if none of these suggestions correct the problem.

What about yourhomework's safe chatrooms?

A subsciption to Premium services gives access to our chatrooms; a place for students to safely enjoy online interaction with students their own age. Our chatrooms are unique because both parents and teachers are involved in the security process. The relationship between parents and teachers ensures student identity and prevents outsiders from entering the chatrooms.

How is Chat Access controlled?

There are three levels of permission in order for students to be granted access to a chatroom: First, parents must allow their child to participate by granting permission in their Privileges page. Second, teachers must grant their individual students access to chatrooms. Third, yourhomework restricts all chat participants by grade levels, and can remove chat privileges upon report of any inappropriate activity. In addition, there must always be a minimum of three students in a chatroom for students to participate.

How can I introduce Premium services to other students and parents?

All students and parents are encouraged to take advantage of Premium services. Please inform your students and their parents about this site. Please feel free to download our flyer and other support materials.

How can my school earn 10% of Premium subscriptions?

As soon as a registered student or parent selects a course from your school, we count that subscription towards your school's fundraising dollars. Your school will automatically receive quarterly checks totaling 10% of all Premium subscriptions purchased by your school's students and parents. There is no reporting or collection of funds required by your school! Checks are sent when 10% of subscriptions totals $50 or more.
