A Guide for Parents
Getting started with yourhomework.com

We try to make the features of yourhomework.com as intuitive and easy to use as possible. Getting registered and setting up the initial details is probably the most involved thing you will do, so here is a quick step-by-step guide to get you started.

Step 1. Check that your teacher uses yourhomework.com

To use yourhomework.com, your child's teacher must have a registered account and post assignments for their courses. Before registering with us, please check this. If you think yourhomework.com is a great idea that your school should be using (as we do!), then let them know by asking them to check out www.yourhomework.com. This is a free resource for schools.

Step 2. Get registered!

Click on the 'Parents Register' link in the Students/Parents menu to go to our secure registration page. You will be asked for some details of yourself and the students you would like to register. Be assured that we take your privacy very seriously, and take great care to keep those details private. Check our full privacy policy here. At registration, you may select our Free or Premium Services. (See the Premium Services FAQ)

When you have registered, you will be sent a confirmation email. You must respond to this to confirm your email address, so check that it didn't get sent to your junk mailbox (as automated mail often does.) To be sure of receiving mail from us, it's a good idea to add 'yourhomework.com' to your whitelist of approved mail senders.

Once you have registered and verified your account from the link in the confirmation email, you will be able to log in to the Parent's Desk to add your children's schools and courses to their accounts. Move on to our Quick Guide for Parents when you are ready to continue.
